For many clinicians, learning about Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) feels like coming home. Couples aren’t broken, they’re just stuck, and helping them secure their attachment to each other will heal so many things in their lives. However, the full implementation of this “easy” model is often more difficult than meets the eye and requires steady practice and guidance.
Having traveled the sometimes confusing, difficult, but deeply rewarding path toward full EFT certification, Amanda is passionate about offering personal and practical assistance to other clinicians as they seek to find their own skill and voice as an EFT therapist. She utilizes a warm and affirming approach while also offering clear direction.
Supervision with Amanda includes case consultation, review of video or audio clips, and support in resourcing the model toward helping couples find secure connection. Amanda also assists with delving into the nuts, bolts and feelings (both yours and theirs!) of helping couples through the EFT dance of heightening, enactments, cycle construction, and bonding events, as well as the clinical presentation of trauma, attachment injuries, and stuck points in therapy.
Amanda is an ICEEFT approved Supervisor Candidate, currently training with renowned certified trainers Michael Barnett and Silvina Irwin toward full certification in EFT supervision. She offers supervision for clinicians who have completed the Externship in EFT.
Amanda leads an in person EFT supervision group every other Monday at her office in the Midtown/Bulkhead neighborhood of Atlanta from 11:30am-1pm EST. There are current openings in this group.
She also offers dyadic and individual supervision, both of which fulfill ICEEFT supervision requirements for EFT Certification. This supervision is available in person as well as online in a HIPAA compliant video format.
Group $50 for 90 min
Dyadic $70 for 60 min
Individual $125 for 60 min
